If you are planning to come to Koh Samui and can't decide which beach to stay. Whether you choose Chaweng Beach or Choeng Mon Beach both are beautiful, clean and great for party people. The water is vividly clear, in the morning where people sleep because most of them probably had a non-stop party that night. Most of the restaurants and bars are close. If you are looking for a quiet place, you won't find it here. It's an island for a party people. Where people don't sleep at night.
There are tourists around the beachfront who do sunbathing on a sunny day and they keep on coming until the sunset. They are many beachfront bars where they can have a party all night. Chaweng beach is more famous than Choeng Mon beach. Chaweng is more crowded than Choeng Mon. If you want to party in a less crowded place then choose Choeng Mon over Chaweng.
Chaweng beach is the heart of Koh Samui. It's near the big shopping malls, western restaurant, pubs, bars and a lot of hotels around. You can see a lot of people go around wearing two-piece swimsuit even in the malls here. It's very traffic in this place than Choeng Mon beach. There is a walking street for local food street and fast food chains like Mc Donalds and Burger King. The food is more expensive here than on the mainland. The food price is double at Mc Donald and Burger King.
